Travel of Guangzhou, HongKong

Introduction

Date: July 22 - July 26, 2025 Location: Guangzhou, ShenZhen, HongKong. Transport: Train

Actually, the main destination of this trip is HongKong, but it didn't deserve to pay for a single travel for HK, so I decide to swing by GZ and SZ. This is my first time traveling abroad since I born, The world is vast,and I'm ready to see it.

Day1 Guangzhou

GUANGZHOU, famous of its cuisine, surely, its beautiful sight as well. We arrived at 11:00, After dropping our luggage, we set out for lunch. It's important thing that eating variety of food. First, we decided to eat BaoZai Rice, whose full name '两味煲仔饭'. It's located in Liwan District, right across from the LongJIng building. When I found out the resturant was in a invisible street corner and had a timeworn atomsphere, I knew immediately: this was exactly the spot I'd been looking for . Indeed, the rice was the most delicious I had eaten ever.

Then we walked down to XiHua road, Because of hot weather, we selected a sugar-water shop to cool off. It's a bit of shame, but the taste was ordinary.

Next, stick to the plan, we tried the GAYA Café. Believed me, I wouldn't to recommend it to you.

At 2:00, we a headed to next stop, Sacred Heart Cathedral.

According to our itinerary, we would arrive at GZ New Television Tower before sunset. GZ tower is a landmark building in GuanZhou. Surrounded by many high-rises. The tower AKA 'little waist' , can display a variety of colors at night.

In the end, we made our way from Shangxiajiu Commercial Pedestrian Street to YongQingFang and eventualy we ate the most classic food called 'ChangFen' in a brand resturant near by our hotel. I have to say, it is much more flavorful than I've had in my hometown.

Day2 Guangzhou - ShenZhen

The second day was very relaxing , we could sleep till 10:00, then would have a breakfast at XiHua road, it’s not wrong, back to the street again. First we'd have a toast, I can tell you it would have a long line if the day were a holiday. Then we would have a rice noodle which mixed steak, heart and other ingredients. The snake bar is called ''ZhenZhen". I highly recommend this restaurant, the soup of noodles is truly delicious.

After that, we went to a cartoon-themed mall, it's at ZhongShanWu Rd. You can see many popular IPs there, and what's even cooler is seeing many beautiful and cute cosplayers, if you are a anime fan, I'm sure you will love the place.

On our last a period time in GuangZhou, we chose a massive restaurant called 'TangRenXuan' for some native cuisine. By searching in network, we discovered they offer a 50% discount between 14:00 - 16:00 on weekdays. So we made a point of a going precisely during that time slot. It's so glad to enjoy the food at half price .

After filling our stomachs, we just headed to ShenZhen by train. Without incident, we continued to quest for dinner, this time , we dug up a fantastic spot tucked away in an alley where some low-income workers live , the same as former place , the food was not only cheap but also delicious.

Day3 HongKong Citywalk

HongKong is the main destination of this trip. To be honest, I wasn't in charge of planning the HK portion , but I should still record the route and how things went.

Getting up early always is difficult. We set off about 10:00 AM. After clearing customs, we decided to head downtown by bus this time, thinking we could enjoy the scenery along the way. However, When I went to bus, it hit a snag: My QRcode of Alipay couldn't be scanned by the system. This cause me and my partner to get separated. We got off in Yuen Long District to transfer.

In short, first day we traveled northern side of Victoria Harbour. Considering luggage convince, our plan was going to take a bus in Jordan back to ShenZheng. what an exhausting day it was! But so enjoyable.

Day4 HongKong Citywalk 2

This day we would traveled southern side of Victoria Harbour.

Just as we were ready to head to Victoria Peak, the weather suddenly turned: pouring rain, loud thunder, and strong winds. It looked like our plans might be ruined. By 8:00 PM, the rain had finally eased up a bit. I insisted we go. We made it to the peak, unfortunately, the rain started coming down hard again. but we had still seen the night scenery.
